seeing is not believing buy dr barnes

the images below the text were sent to me as if they were fact but useful
hahaha, with some in depth knowledge of health, training and nutrition i realised it was Worth looking into

1. answer phone by left ear > left ear goes to right side of the brain where we make pictures instead of processing language thus its the least suitable ear to use

2. coffee twice a day? most people drink 4 to 8 cups a day, 2 would be healthy
coffee does increase blood pressure thus making it ideal for waking up in the morning and keeping your job, losing your job would be worse for your health
coffee is known to have detoxing effect and the amount of books written about health because the writers were coffee users is large

3. pills with cold water?!?! no no, you should drink them with battery acid, or alcohol or coffee, or with no liquid and choke on the pill

4. everybody in the world has dinner after 5pm, the biggest meal of the day

5. oil = bad, i don't recommend you drink petrol from the station, however many oils are good for you, olive oil anyone?

6. if you have caffeine or alcohol or anything bad in the day then water helps flush your system, thus.... drink more water at night

7. mobile phones produce radiation, not the chargers, oh no, someone died from recharging their batteries, well it was her own fault, 10000000000000000000 people die from rechargable batteries everyday

8. the human body adapts to many things, wearing headphones for a long time is one of them, ask any deaf person who must wear a headphone, maybe keep the volume lower would have been a better suggestion

9. according to who? did god decide this?

10. etc etc etc

the points are, seeing is Not believing, if words have a picture, its still just an opinion, from which source, according to who, if 3 different reliable sources agree on an idear then ok, its probably worth believing, otherwise, be wise

researched health mydears, from 5 years experience, practise and
various sources knowledge

listen and hear

http://www.teclasap.com.br/blog/2006/05/20/falsas-gemeas-hear-x-listen/

Cf. Gramática: Não estou entendendo
Cf. Falsas Gêmeas: SEE x LOOK x WATCH
Cf. Como posso melhorar a minha “listening comprehension”? – Parte 1/3

  • Check, check. Can you hear me?
  • Teste, teste. Você está me ouvindo?
  • Listen carefully to what I’m about to say.
  • Preste muita atenção ao que vou dizer.
  • I can hear perfectly well.
  • Minha audição é perfeita.
  • At first I enjoyed listening to him but after a while I got tired of hearing the samestory again and again.
  • No começo, eu gostava de ouvi-lo mas depois de um tempo enjoei de ouvir a mesma história mil vezes.

how to use "these days" and "nowadays" in english

a translation from portuguese to english

originally created by a brasilian native speaker
and given extra flavour by a native british english

English version

About fans and idols

If there is something that always made me curious then its the worship of gods. I think that at some moment in time, somebody asked himself about the origin of everything and looked for a supernatural answer or explanation about where things originate. So he felt the necessity to believe in the existence of a superior power who was responsible for all the universe. He was expected to be beyond special, perfection itself… But, maybe others question the idea of a celestial being and can data be collected for this all ruling, all powerful figure as people begin to doubt its existence in the light of the unprovability surrounding it "(...) the word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, and lived amongst us" (John I, 14). Probably, the role of Christ in our history has been to show, through examples, that it´s possible to be a good person. I am not atheist, jewish, catholic, protestant or islamic… I am not sure what the origin of things truly is. it is that God created us? Or that, in fact, we created him?

portuguese and english next to each other
excellent for learning either language

video with text @ a few good men nicholson e cruise

Lieutenant Kaffee: Colonel Jessep! Did you order the "code red?!!"

Judge Randolph: You don't have to answer that question!

Jessep: I'll answer the question. You want answers?

Lieutenant Kaffee: I think I'm entitled to them.

Jessep: You want answers?!

Lieutenant Kaffee: I want the truth!

Jessep: You can't handle the truth! Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lieutenant Weinberg? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Santiago, and you curse the Marines. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know -- that Santiago's , while tragic, probably saved lives; and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall -- you need me on that wall.

We use words like "honor," "code," "loyalty." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it.

I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand the post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think you're entitled to!

Lieutenant Kaffee: Did you order the "code red?"

Jessep: I did the job I was --

Lieutenant Kaffee: -- Did you order the "code red?!"

Jessep: You're god damn right I did!!!

the best english exam is... o melhor exame ingles 'e...

I have a doubt, could you explain the diffences between TOEFL, Michigan and Cambridge... Witch one is more important ?
[01:59:31] genius7001 diz: i never heard of michigan
[01:59:43] waldir.borba.jr diz: humm
[01:59:56] genius7001 diz: toefl sounds big in north america and a german guy mentioned it once
[02:00:19] genius7001 diz: cambridge is world known every country knows it and respects it
[02:00:31] waldir.borba.jr diz: humm
[02:00:35] genius7001 diz: ielts seems to be the biggest world exam currently
[02:01:48] waldir.borba.jr diz: i'm thinking about be a certificate, so today i started to search all certifications that exists
[02:02:10] genius7001 diz: i hear that cambridge is best for brasil
[02:02:15] waldir.borba.jr diz: i never heard about ielts
[02:02:32] genius7001 diz: probably not good in brasil then

ielts is good for entering unversity but is more hard than cambridge fce
you need like 80% in ielts to enter university, even a native speaker would find that hard
i got my English GCSE with an A grade (the highest) and averaged 70%
(this is the most valued english qualification in the UK)
it depends what your purpose is, i believe cambridge fce is the best
